The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of maintenance and repair activities for a wide range of equipment essential to operations (HGVs, LVs, earthmoving equipment, generators, etc.). The role involves both hands-on fieldwork and administrative responsibilities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the main responsibilities include:

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and repair process for routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with other departments to plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and impact on production and sales.
Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage the entire repair process, ensuring quick and efficient resolution of issues.
Coordinate repair activities with internai maintenance teams and external vendors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage the inventory of maintenance and repair supplies, tools, and equipment.
Plan the procurement of necessary parts and tools ensuring part numbers and technical specifications are accurately defined and communicated to the SCM Procurement team.
lmplement efficient and cost-effective strategies for corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify malfunctions, safety hazards, and excessive wear.
Ensure the availability of preventive maintenance kits and spare parts to support uninterrupted maintenance activities.
Create and maintain detailed preventive maintenance checklists for the Mechanics
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance and repair technicians, ensuring adherence to technical standards and safety protocols.
Provide technical training, mentorship, and support to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance and repair activities, performance metrics, and key issues.
ldentify areas for improvement, propose solutions with cost analysis, and advise management on hazardous equipment operation.
Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices, holding maintenance personnel accountable for compliance.

Holder of a Master II degree in Mechanics, Engineering, or Industrial.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in supervising maintenance and repair of heavy and light vehicles, generators, and earthmoving equipment.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices and mechanical reliability standards.
Experience in spare parts stock control and work order management.
Excellent documentation skills to meet internal and external audit requirements.
Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Fluency in both spoken and written English and French, with proven report writing skills.
Ability to diagnose and maintain mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
