The HSE Junior will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with HSE legal requirements and international standards. They will ensure that management and employees are aware of the company’s HSE policies and procedures and that all HSE requirements are applied in the workplace.

Reporting to the HSE Supervisor, the main responsibilities include:
• Conducting HSE induction and awareness training sessions.
• Participating in investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of the HSE Management System procedures on site and providing support and guidance to all site personnel on health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Carrying out internal HSE audits and inspections.
• Performing daily inspections of all work areas to verify the presence and condition of firefighting equipment, safety devices, and first-aid kits, ensuring that all emergency response equipment is fully operational at all times.
• Conducting regular inspections of vehicles, equipment, machinery, tools, excavations, scaffolds, lifting equipment and accessories, fall protection systems, confined spaces, and work practices to ensure compliance with HSE standards and maintain a safe working environment.
• Participating in daily planning, risk assessments (JSA), method statements, and permit-to-work management, in coordination with operations and other contractors to plan and coordinate on-site activities.
• Recommending measures to protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
• Ordering the suspension of activities that pose risks to workers’ health and safety.
• Monitoring employee health conditions through inspections of canteens and hygiene standards, as well as water quality monitoring and analysis.
• Assisting in organizing regular tire tightening and first-aid training, as well as emergency drill simulations for the response team.
• Participating in emergency rescue operations for individuals trapped or injured in hazardous environments.

• Master’s degree (M1) in Health, Safety & Environment, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Sciences.
• Specific training in HSE programs.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in safety and/or training.
• Knowledge and ability to implement a site safety management system.
• Ability to contribute to the implementation of HSE / Fire Protection / Emergency Response programs.
• Strong understanding of standards, concepts, practices, and procedures related to health, safety, and the environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication skills (awareness, training, and report writing).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive in off-road conditions.
