
The HSE Supervisor ensure compliance of the company on HSE legal requirements and international standards and ensure by different means that Management and employees are familiar with company HSE policies and procedures and apply all HSE requirements at work. Ensure employees work in safe plant and system of work, in safe work environ ment with adequate welfare facilities.
Reporting to the Head of Field Coordination, the main responsibilities include:
• Ensure all country safety and health legal requirements and application in the field (specification reference).
• Work in cooperation with Blending, Operations, Production, Maintenance, drilling, Materials, Logistics and Administration Departments to ensure compliance with Company HSE Policies and Procedures and Malagasy regulations.
• Lead Safety team on safety duties organization in the field.
• Ensure written HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.
• Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training courses to all personnel, as required.
• Ensure good health condition of the employees by monitoring with emergency physician clinic equipment and needs, follow up of main diseases, mess and hygiene inspection, water quality monitoring and analysis.
• lnspect and evaluate workplace tools, materials, equipment, processes and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
• lnspect all workplaces to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, and first-aid supplies.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in good condition and properly utilized by all employees and contractors.
• Participate in Job Safety analysis and risk assessments jointly with other field groups to develop risk management procedures in high-risk operations.
• Assist with implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect, or supervise the inspection of job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
• lnvestigate all incidents and near misses to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
• Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
• Prepare purchase request, work orders and service orders, as agreed with Head of Field Coordination
• Assist in directing any emergency rescue of personnel trapped or injured in a hazardous environment
• Assist in the development and training of the Emergency Response Team
• Maintain and manage stock levels of Fire Fighting, Emergency Response
• Assist in conducting regular fire-fighting training programs and firefighting drills ta the ER team.
• Perform any other duties related to the position, as instructed by the leader.

• Holder of a University degree in Health, Safety and Environmental, or industrial hygiene, or environmental science.
• Specific training on HSE programs.
• Minimum 05 years’ of related safety experience and/or training, preferably in the oil/gas or big mining industry.
• Must have the ability to assist with delivery of HSE / Fire Protection / Emergency Response programs.
• Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.
• Ability to take lead and direct teams in the event of an emergency.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Written and spoken English fluency
• Strong communication skills, bath verbal and written (sensitization/training/report writing)
• Willingness to travel and work in remote or challenging environments, if required.
